November 2016: Duncan, a young Scottish doctor from Aberdeen, unknowingly traces Spark�s steps in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and similarly faces up to the reality of life in the edge. Nevertheless is a series of short fictions published in celebration of Muriel Spark�s centenary in 2018, with support from Creative Scotland. Best known as the author of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Dame Muriel Spark was a poet, writer of fiction, criticism and literary biography, and was at the top of her profession, internationally, for more than half a century.
