Veiled Currents is an enchanting tale of reinvention, strength and weakness, gain and loss, pollution, climate change, oil exploration and exploitation, environmental struggle, globalisation, and a touch of fate, narrated in a style uncommon in debut novels. Veiled Currents tells the story of a people living in poverty amidst wealth and whose lives have been defined negatively and punctuated with psychological scars by the effects of oil exploration and exploitation in the oil-rich region of Delhara.
